If your appliance is no longer heating up or not heating up fully, then you may have a fault with the heater element. The wash element heats water to the washing temperature selected. Elements can often fail over time; you will notice this when your clothes aren't being cleaned and your water is not heating up. Limescale deposits build up on the element over time causing it to fail.
